You have selected the right destination with the Resort with the breathtaking landscape, the flight is booked, what’s next?

Here we will simplify what to bring on your Caribbean getaway.

The first thing to pack is a Back pack or the murse (man-bag) with your PASSPORT, E-Ticket QR print out. Your Flight Voucher, Transportation Voucher and Hotel Itinerary voucher. Also don’t forget to add your phone charger (EU-Adapter if traveling from Europe), waterproof phone case/waterproof camera case and camera chargers with a portable charger. Please check your airline restriction for carryon bags

Make sure to pass by the bank and get some single- or two-dollar bills for tipping, while at the bank let them know that you are traveling abroad and you might be using your Creditcard make sure you ask if you pay any international fee if you use it. Please do not Exchange your dollars to DOP (Dominican Pesos) since the US dollar is very fluent in the tourist areas such as Puerto Plata and Punta Cana. Tips in an all-inclusive Resort it a little tricky since there are no prices on the meal or drinks. We always recommend bringing tips base on the cost of your hotel total prices and the percentage that you are used to tipping for example your hotel total cost is $2500 and you tip 10% you will bring $250 USD in singles and spread it out during your stay. We also recommend tipping from the heart based on the service provided.

At least one pair of slacks, some of the à la carte restaurants may require guests to be dressed in slacks. One pair of close toe shoes. Going out out-fit will be recommended to take a night to go to Coco Bongo, Imagine Nite club or just go to the casino. Underwear and socks – Pack enough comfortable underwear and socks for your trip (two extras). Cool and comfortable pajamas, at least one unless you like going commando.

Swimwear will really be up to you, some of us like to have a different swimming trunk every day or at least to look like it is a different one I usually buy reversable one and I pack 3 and it works like a charm for a 7-day getaway. A Cap or Beach hat with sunglasses to help you stay cool and not burn in the sun.  Flip-flops or sandals bring a pair to shower and one just in case to walk around. Sun cream is one of the things you can’t be stingy with bring a lot unless you want to pay $30 bulks for it at the hotel shop. After sun gel, once you get in the room place it in the fridge and when you come in the room after taking all that sun you will enjoy the cool after sun gel. Water shoes, especially if you are going to have an adventure off the resort such as Buggies, Zipline, Saona island, Samana and others.

Other things you cannot forget to pack are an Insulated cup, help reduce the time you will get up to refill your drinks (the bigger the better). In a Ziplock bags put all your personal hygiene and grooming article such as your body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, deodorant, summer fragrances, toothpaste, toothbrush, wash cloth, hair brush, comb, hair gel, shaver, nail clipper, after shave and trimmer.

You also would want to pack a first aid kit with pain killers, Benadryl, Pepto Bismol, and any other medicine that you might need
